Section 86
Special provisions relating to transport workers

(1) The employer's liability towards transport workers shall be as follows:-
(a) Mandatory provision of at least two drivers for long-distance (long-route) passenger transport vehicles. (b) arranging for the drivers of long-distance vehicles to rest at places before reaching their destination,
(c) Transport workers employed for more than eight hours a day shall be remunerated at the rate of one-half of the wages they are entitled to for working overtime, but if the transport worker is given trip allowance, dosage allowance or other similar allowances, only one of such allowances or one-half the amount as he chooses. will get.
(d) If the vehicle breaks down before reaching the destination or if it has to be stopped at one place due to any reason, the worker shall be given fifty percent of the allowance he would have received while the vehicle was running.
(e) Keeping medicines and medical supplies necessary for first aid in the vehicle. Explanation: For the purpose of this section,-
(1) "Long distance" means the long route (long route) determined according to the law.
(2) "Transport work" means the work of transporting people, animals or goods from one place to another by mechanical means.
(3) "Transport worker" means the worker engaged in the work of transport.

(3) The concerned employer may dismiss the worker who works contrary to sub-section (2) for bad conduct. However, before removing such workers from service, they should be given an opportunity to submit an explanation.
(4) The employer can terminate the employment relationship by selling the vehicle owned by him or by giving the facility of retirement to the workers employed in the vehicle due to change of ownership due to other reasons. But this arrangement will not be applicable in the case of establishments that operate vehicles.
